| Abstract: | This article,under the principle of historical materialism,analyzes the nature of religion and social functions of the God who appears in myths and legendary stories of The Old Testament,and indicates the religious and philosophical significance of the God.And in terms of sociology,it illustrates that the nature of the God in The Old Testament is actually a loyal reflection of the social institutions and moral doctrines of a nation.Furthermore,it briefly analyzes God' s positive and negative influences on human beings. |
