| Abstract: | Three suggestions have been made about the nomination of polysemous sentence.On the basis of analysis of various viewpoints,polysemous sentence is recommended to be adopted in this paper.Polysemous sentences can be divided into three kinds:grammatical polysemy,semantice polysemy and pragmatic polysemy.Pragmatic polysemy is concerned with pragmatic factors outside the language itself.Pragmatic factors are made up of discourse factors ,and the speaker's knowledge,psyche,belief and desire,etc..Pragmatic polysemy and vague expression are quite distinguished in nature. |
