| 摘 要： | “五四新文化运动”时期，民主主义者提倡民主与科学，社会上逐步形成了一股思想解放的潮流。西方先进的思想通过传教士和国外学者以及中国先进的知识分子在中国传播，西方先进理论同时在中国得到广泛的传播。“五四新文化运动”所开创的自由学术氛围为实用主义教育思想在中国迅速传播提供了有利条件，以实用主义为理论基础的“自然主义体育”开始影响我国学校体育。
