| 摘 要： | 武术的军事功能不仅指它在战场上直接发挥的效用和价值，而且包括武术在军队训练，社会、学校的国防和军事教育中的地位和作用。从这一认识出发，近代武术的军事功能并非呈现一直弱化的趋势，而是表现出明显的起落。这可以从它发展的４个阶段：１８４０－１８９４年，１８９５－１９１１年，１９１２－１９２７年，１９２７－１９４９年窥知。
