| 摘 要： | 西部是少数民族的主要聚居地，民族地区主要集中在西部。要实现各民族的共同繁荣，顺利地推进西部大开发，西部少数民族人口文化素质的提高是关键。本文利用人口普查和人口抽样调查资料，揭示了西部各民族的人口受教育的基本状况，他们和全国的差距，并对各民族在受教育上的差异进行了分类。在此基础上，提出了发展民族教育的一些设想。

| Abstract: | China＇ ethnic minority population is concentrated mainly in the west. The key to the development of the west and mutual prosperity of all ethnic groups lies in raising the educational level of the minority population. This analysis of the data drawn from the recent census and a sampling survey reveals the educational level of each ethnic minority population of the west, identifies the gap between each ethnic population＇ s educational level and the national education level, and categorizes the differences in ed- ucation received by the minority groups. Proposals based on the findings are raised regarding raising the educational level of the ethnic groups. |
