| Abstract: | Some library consortia have investment portfolios which are under long term management. Having a proper written investment policy will aid in good governance and help the consortium properly manage its assets for the long term. A policy will define investment objectives, prohibited investments, a review process, a spending policy, and other needed details. A review of some special consortial needs provides insight into some of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by library consortia. |
