摘    要:隐喻不仅是一种语言现象,其本质更是一种认知现象,对隐喻理论的正确认识对英语词汇学教学有着积极的影响。从认知语言学的隐喻认知机制和隐喻的分类的角度探讨隐喻在英语词汇教学中的作用,提出基于隐喻的教学建议。

Abstract:Metaphor was not only a language phenomenon, but also a cognitive phenomenon. The correct understanding of metaphor theory has a positive impact on English vocabulary teaching. This paper explores the roles of metaphor in English vocabulary teaching, and gives advices based on vocabulary teaching from metaphor cognitive mechanism and metaphor classification.
