| Abstract: | A discussion is presented on the effects of teaching for practice and training for professional certification on engineering students＇ competitiveness in finding employment,abilities in doing pioneering work and capabilities of innovation.Such teaching and training are analyzed with their problems pinpointed.Recommendations are offered for strengthening the practice teaching and professional training in order to foster students＇ hands-on and innovation abilities. |
