| Abstract: | Traditionally, librarians were the steward and guardian of information. Today, the role is changing and librarians must also be the steward and guardian of the ethical use of information technology. This article looks at the ethical challenges of information technology, considers principles to guide students, and discusses the ways that librarians might respond. |
