| 摘 要： | 本文主要是以例句形式通过比较来阐述在使用英语时注意语气的委婉性。文中分别谈到请求命令的委婉表达以及回答的肯否定、劝告的委婉表达和建议的委婉表达,还有如何巧妙地利用时态达到委婉的目的。

| Abstract: | This paper discusses euphemism in tone when speaking English by comparison of examples. It presents a mild tone in requesting and order and positive and negative answers to such, and in advice and suggestion. The goal of euphemism may also be achieved by well use of tenses. |
