| Abstract: | "Humanistic Olympics" is one of the most conspicuous slogans proposed by Beijing when applying for the 2008 Olympic Games. By a comparison between the ancient humanism and humanism today in China,it is concluded that a long history of humanism in a culture does not suggest the humanistic concept is deeply rooted in the same culture. Therefore it should be the focus of our work to develop our own sustainable humanistic concept of Olympics according to the special circumstances m China. |
