| Abstract: | The discipline of physical education theory as a comprehensive,summing-up course of the speciality of physical education has been developed in the past few decades into four courses: Introduction to Physical Education & Sports,School Physical Education, Mass Sports,and Sports Trainology. In this process of evolution,the content of knowledge of the discipline,for example,the concept and function of physical education,the position and role of school physical education,the proess,regularity and principle of physical education teaching,and the theoretical basis and effectiveness evaluation of exercising,was renewed and enlarged. During the past few years, with the derivation of the 3rd generation courses such as Physical Education Teaching Method,Comparative Physical Education,Sociology in Sports and Physical Education and Research Method,a course group of physical education theory is being formed. |
