| Abstract: | In this paper the essential thoughts and methods were introduced about two dominant theories on motor behaviour: the cognitive theory and the natural physical theory. On the basis of physical education and sports training, the concept differences in both theories about motor learning and performance acquisition, the mechanism of action control and coordination, and the possibilities of their application were investigated. It was concluded that there were some defects in the traditional cognitive theory. Therefore, we should take in the ideas of the natural physical theory in motor learning and action coordination to update current theories and methods in physical education and sports training. |
