| 摘 要： | 兵式体操在我国近代学校体育史中占有重要的地位，它的兴起与发展、衰落与废止都有其深刻的社会历史背景：军国民教育思想和中国留日学生对兵式体操的兴起和发展起了重要的作用，“五四”新文化运动，兵式体操本身存在的问题和弱点以及实用主义教育思想的传入是导致学校兵操衰落和最后废止的主要原因。

| Abstract: | Soldier gymanastics (S. G ) had ever occupied an important place in school sports history of Chinese modern times,the beginning, development,decline and annulment of which had its deep soleal and historical backgrand: the educational ideology of an entire nation in arms and the Chinese students studying in Japan had their significant role in the course of SG'S rise and development; the may 4th movement of new culture and the defects of SG itself as well as the import of pragmatic thought were the primary causes which led to the fall and subsequent annulment of school SG. |
