| 摘 要： | 文章主要采用文献研究的研究方法，对有关民族传统体育的概念、本质特征、发展对策以及从发展理论角度对民族传统体育的研究成果进行综述。研究发现：对民族传统体育本质的认识多数停留在单纯的体育视角或兼顾其民族性上；而民族传统体育的民族特色以及它的价值开发是民族传统体育发展的重中之重，但现有研究对以上的理论支撑力度明显不足。从发展的角度认为民族传统体育的研究与脱离学校教育，以及民族传统体育市场体系不健全有着极大的关系，但在此方面涉及范围还很不全面。
