| 摘 要： | 文章采用文献资料、逻辑分析等研究方法,比较分析了现阶段我国大众体育和西方发达国家大众体育的发展特点,主要概括为以下几方面：大众体育的价值取向;体育人口结构;大众体育的运动项目和大众体育的科研。指出2008年奥运会为我国大众体育在新的历史时期的发展所带来的良好机遇和面临的挑战,认为我国大众体育的可持续发展有赖于科学化的管理体系。
