中介语石化现象浅析

摘    要:学习动机是学习质量的重要保证,而学习动机有两种:工具型动机和融合型动机。工具型动机是指外语学习者将外语作为达到某些目的的工具,如工作或通过考试。融合型动机是指学习者希望融入目标语社团的活动或文化。工具型动机在短期内会使某些学习者获得成功,然而一旦达到目的,动机消失,加上国内没有真实的语言环境,导致学习者英语学习的停滞,造成石化。本文拟从中介语的特点,中介语石化的现象及特点以及导致这种石化现象出现的原因做一些简单探讨,并提出减少外语学习石化现象的对策。

A Brief Analysis on the Fossilization of Interlanguage

Abstract:Learning motivation is an important guarantee for the quality of learning, and learning motivation is of two kinds: instrumental motivation and integrative motivation. Instrumental motivation means that foreign language learners regard the foreign language as a tool to reach a certain goal, such as work or pass the exam. Integrative motivation means that the learners hope to integrate into the target language community or culture. Instrumental motivation, in the short term, will make some learners succeed, however, once they reach the objective, the motive disappears, and in addition to the lack of a real language environment at home, the learners' English learning stagnates, which causes fossilization. This paper briefly discusses the features of interlanguage, the phenomenon of interlanguage fossilization and its characteristics and the causes, and puts forward counter measures for reducing fossilization in foreign language learning.
