| 摘 要： | 曾经显赫一时的古罗马帝国,自公元3世纪起竟然迅速地走向衰落,究竟是什么力量摧垮了这个古老的大帝国,史学界一直众说纷纭。除了蛮族入侵、政治腐败、军备废弛等多种因素外,笔者认为古罗马帝国的衰亡还与丝绸的输入有关。古罗马人因为大量购买中国的丝绸而导致货币的流失,丝绸作为奢侈品,在满足上层贵族的享乐、挥霍和时尚生活的同时,也造成了道德的沦丧以及国库的日益空虚。从经济和社会风气的角度看,丝绸大量传入是导致古罗马帝国衰落的因素之一。

| Abstract: | Though prosperous for a time,the ancient Rome Empire was rapidly declining since the Third Century,but the opinions on the reasons for it are divergent.In addition to the unanimously confirmed reasons,the writer holds that silk input is also a reason,for silk,as a luxury,led to a great money loss and caused the decline of morality. |
