摘    要:在越来越多的企业转向咨询公司寻求新的管理技能、管理理念和管理工具的背景下,企业如何提高辨别力,现实地认识咨询公司的能力,恰当地从外部汲取管理建议和解决方案,已经成为学术界必须关注的课题。本文探讨了企业如何正确地认识管理咨询的本质,并提出了从认知、制度、能力、行为四个方面来提高企业利用外来咨询服务的素养,即以批判的精神寻求、选择、使用、管理和评估自身所必需的咨询服务的能力。

Abstract:Against the background that more and more businesses resort to management consulting firms for concepts and tools to boost their performance, this study posits that the academic community should expand its research agenda to explore how companies can improve their position in face of consulting firms. This study thus puts forth the concept of competency of utilizing management consultancy. Based on a critical analysis of the strategies and skills commonly applied by consulting firms to grow business and retain clients, this study proposes a competency model outlining four action areas on which business organizations should focus for more efficient use of management consultancy.
