| Abstract: | A brief analysis of the common problems involved in the translation of the name of scenic spots in China is presented with Wuyishan scenic area as a case of example.With a discussion of the cause of the translation problems,the translation norms and methods of the names of scenic spots are expatriated.While stressing that hierarchical norms should be applied in the translation of the names of scenic spots,it is maintained that two or more methods can be jointly employed to attain better translation effect. |
