| 摘 要： | 《小伙子古德曼·布朗》是美国作家霍桑最著名的短篇小说之一,许多的批评家从不同的角度对它进行过研究。本文将以神话原型批评理论为基础,对小说进行再解读,试图论证霍桑在创作本作品时受到了神话原型的影响。通过对小说的人物塑造与结构设计两方面的分析,可以发现该小说的创作与神话是相关联的。而从神话原型的视角来解读本篇小说可以更好的理解霍桑这个哥特式小说的特色与写作目的。

| Abstract: | This article studies Hawthorne's greatest short story Young Goodman Brown from mythical archetype perspective to see whether Hawthorne creates the story based on the myths.From the analyses of its characterization and structure,the assumption is verified.And reading the fiction from this perspective,readers can further understand the features and writing purpose of Hawthorne. |
