| Abstract: | Educators in many parts of the world are aware of a new spirit of revolt among students. Some of the older generation see
it as mere anarchy and call for stricter discipline. Others hope that this new dynamism can be directed towards constructive
ends by the students themselves. Either point of view is based on the assumption that profound changes are needed in the educational
systems of today and that teachers at every level should be involved in planning the schools of tomorrow.
The following are excerpts from radio interviews with several leaders in the world of education who are, themselves, ‘students’
of the current spirit motivating young people. |
