Abstract: | This essay describes a written exercise of educational autobiography that is conducted with in-service teachers in a graduate course in the social foundations of education. When teachers reflect on their own schooling experiences through educational autobiography, they can see their own personal and professional development in a new light that can enlighten their current work in the classroom. The use of educational autobiography allows teachers a moment of reflection when they can connect their own experiences as students with their social and political work as educators. |
