| Abstract: | Chicago University, drawing on the economic strength of rising Chicago, a city of immigrants, and its need for a first-class university, became one of top universities in the world shortly after its founding. Shenzhen at the present time has similar background of growth as Chicago in its late 19th century. Therefore, experience and process of Chicago University＇s success can play an exemplary role for development and reform of higher education in Shenzhen. |
