| 摘 要： | 冗余信息是言语交际过程中信息差的表现之一，它同语言的经济原则相对立，又会反作用于正常的信息传输，简短，精练，准确等修辞学原则和语用学会话合作原则中的若干准则，都是针对冗余提出的。但是从语义内容与语言形式的矛盾和语言规律来看，不应该片面地排除英语中的冗余现象，而是要深入地研究和充分地利用冗余规律，具体而言，就是依据修辞学分析语言性语境的冗余现象，依据语用学分析非语言性语境的冗余现象。

| Abstract: | Redundancy in English language is one of the representations of information imbalance in the process of discourse communication. Form the angle of the contradiction between linguistic reference and form and inner English language laws, redundancy is not supposed to be eliminated in a partial way but its law,probed and taken advantage of profoundly and adequately. Specifically speaking, the linguistic phenomenon concerned can be analyzed via rhetoric, ie, linguistic context and pragmatics, ie, non-linguistic context. Further detailed classifications are also introduced for reference. |
