| 摘 要： | 作为福克纳最著名的短篇小说,《献给艾米丽的玫瑰》真实地描述了处于新旧交替时期的南方贵族小姐艾米丽复杂矛盾的内心世界以及扭曲变态的心理。本文试从社会环境、传统父权制以及个人心理等三个方面探讨艾米丽小姐无法避免的悲剧命运。

| Abstract: | As one of William Faulkner’s best-known short stories,A Rose for Emily vividly describes Emily,a Southern aristocratic lady’s plaintive and mysterious life experiences.This paper will try to analyze Emily’s doomed tragic fate from three respects: objective social and historical environments at that time,conventional patriarchy and her own distorted psychology. |
