| 摘 要： | 英语同义词纷繁复杂 ,难以掌握 ,又是英语学习中经常碰到的问题。由于历史的原因 ,使得同义词来源非常丰富 ,同时使同义词在地域、语义、感情色彩、语体色彩以及词语的搭配和分布位置等方面有着不同的特点和区别。正确掌握同义词可以帮助我们避免用词重复 ,使文章变化生动 ,并能委婉、含蓄地表达人们的思想感情 ,这对提高和运用英语语言的能力大有裨益
