| Abstract: | The processing of temporal information and its effect on text comprehension in contemporary reading psychology are analyzed in this article.The representation of temporal information in situation model is first examined,and then,the effects of temporal information on the immediate comprehension,the activation level of relevant event,the organization of long-term memory,and the processing of verbs are explained.Finally,a prospect is offered based on the studies of the processing of temporal information from the perspectives of both theory and methodology. |
