| Abstract: | Language not only conveys thoughts, but also makes thinking possible. In ad dition, language is the dwelling place of existence. Language is not merely to c opy reality, it helps people discover reality. Above all, language is indispensa ble for human beings to possess special intelligence and behavior that is intrin sically distinctive from that of other species. Thus the explanatory power of la nguage-based theory of human behaviors should be enough to convince the unbiase d observer that only through an understanding of language will we ever understan d ourselves. |
