中英文医药说明书人际元话语的对比分析

摘    要:人际元话语是用来表明作者态度、体现作者和读者之间互动关系的语言手段。社会语境、体裁、语用及社会文化特征能限制和影响文本中人际元话语手段的选择和使用。取近期中英文医药说明书各10份为语料对比研究样本,语料统计分析表明,相似的社会语境、体裁、语用交际策略使中英文本中人际元话语的使用呈现一定的共性:而各自社会文化、语用差异,则令其使用表现出一定的差异。

Abstract:Interpersonal metadiscourse refers to aspects of a text which explicitly engage the audience and signal the writer' s attitude. Social contextual, generic, pragmatic, and socio-cuhural constraints can af- fect the choices of certain interpersonal metadiscourse devices. This is a contrastive study of the similarities and differences between English and Chinese pharmaceutical packaging inserts based on 10 samples respec- tively. Corpus statistics show that social contextual, generic and pragmatic similarities explain the relative uniformity in the employment of interpersonal metadiscourse between English and Chinese texts; and the differences in the use of interpersonal metadiscourse devices between them are due to pragmatic and socio- cultural differences across the languages.
