| 摘 要： | 英语习语来源于历史典故,来自文学艺术。受地理环境的影响,在价值观念、宗教信仰方面存在差异,由于这些特点的存在,在翻译的时候应该根据习语的特点分别采取直译、意译和音译加注释的方法才能更好地促进文化交流。

| Abstract: | Idiom contains metaphorical phrases,slang,colloquialism,and proverb,etc.It is an indispensable element of language.In general,it derives from literary quotation and is affected by the geographical environment.It differs in value system and religious belief.Because of the difference,when translating,we should employ different methods,namely,literal translation,free translation and transliteration with notes. |
