| 摘 要： | 语言是文化的载体和交流的工具,它记录着人类文化发展的历史,反映着社会文明进步的成果,正是历史的进步,才使得对等的词在不同的语言环境下产生的不同的内涵。英、汉语言中,动物词汇常发生语义重叠现象,即词汇对应关系。但是,由于英、汉两民族长期生活在不同的文化背景中,对同一动物词产生不同的联想而赋予不同的文化内涵,因此,英、汉两种语言中,通常会出现一种动物的概念意义完全相同,其文化内涵却有明显差异、相互矛盾甚至意义相反的情况。

| Abstract: | Language is the carrier of culture,and a tool of communication.It is a record of history of cultural development,and a reflection of human civilization.It is precisely this development that makes different cultural connotation in different language context.In Chinese and English,the words about animals usually have the overlapping meaning,that is,the semantic correspondence between Chinese words and English words.However,the same animal may have different cultural meanings and associations because of different cultural and social backgrounds.This leads to the difference in cultural connotation or the contradictory cultural association in spite of their similar conceptual meanings or denotative meanings. |
