| Abstract: | Estheticism seflects the heart- felt despair of the artists: the soul of art gradually fades out, the beauty of form takes its place. The grandiosity of sensibility overshadows emptiness. The novel displays, a new era in which art becomes totally meaningless and beauty remains skip deep, that is to say, homeless. |
