| 摘 要： | 自由是从尊重人开始的。《新民丛报》学人在学习西方先进文化时，已经认识到了人格与自由之间的重要关系．因而积极地把一些关于人格与自由相统一的思想传入到中国。简而言之，自由对个人而言，就是自己要做自己的主人，对他人而言，就是把他人当作人来看待；人必须有独立的人格，不服从于任何个人、任何团体、任何权威，如果讲服从的话，只有服从于真理。这对我国社会主义的人权建设仍有重要的借鉴意义。
