| 摘 要： | 一九0二年左右梁启超创办并主掌了《新民丛报》和《新小说》,因此梁氏＂小说界革命＂与他的《新民说》关系甚为密切。本文探讨的是为小说界革命提供理论支撑的《新民说》中＂新＂的内容,如何发明＂公德＂,并指出新民方案的逻辑转换：如何从公德转向私德＂推及＂,即回归到阳明学等传统德性要求上来。
