| 摘 要： | 姓名不仅是一种社会现象，也是一种特殊的文化体现方式，其背后蕴含着丰富的文化内涵。从英语姓名的结构特征、起源等入手，着重探讨英语姓名中折射出的英国文化，如英国早期社会发展史、英国人的宗教信仰、社会风俗以及价值观念等，以期对英语学习者有所启示与帮助。

| Abstract: | As a social phenomenon as well as a special culture embodiment, names could reflect many aspects of a culture. Through the analysis of the structure and origin of English names, some aspects of British culture, such as the ancient society devel-opment, English people’ s religion, English customs and values, are explored with the hope of offering some inspiration and help for English learners. |
