| Abstract: | The author holds that the progress of America has experienced such developmental stages as following the European traditions (colonization) through self identification, pursuing Americanization (nationalization) by self reform, and seeking internationalization (globalization) in self representation. These developmental stages coincide the three periods of American cultural progress. These periods are marked by features of multi dimension, modernity and internationalization respectively. |
