| 摘 要： | 现代西方社会是一个高度工业化的社会，随着社会的发展，文化矛盾已上升为社会的主要矛盾。其表现形态是文化与社会结构的分裂和文化与人的价值的分裂。文化一旦被人创造，它就作为人的对象活动的结果反作用于人，这是现代西方文化矛盾的内在根据。这个内在根据表现为两个方面：一是实践的二重性；二是启蒙的极权性。对现代西方文化矛盾的分析与批判有助于我国在建设小康社会和构建和谐社会的过程中正视所面临的问题，值得我们重视和思考。
