| 摘 要： | 古罗马的图书形式是继承希腊模式而来的，它的主要书写材料是纸草和羊皮纸。罗马图书的传播和流通主要依靠作者和书商。从图书与文化的关系看，有文化的作家们是为上层社会的阅读而写作，不屑于下层民众，但作家们自身地位同样也很低下，受到社会的歧视；能够拥有图书的贵族富人却往往不读书，不能成为真正有文化的人。这在罗马文化史上形成了一个有趣的怪圈。

| Abstract: | Roman books,which mail writing materials were papyrus and parchment,inherited to the Greek model.Roman books were circulated by books' authors and bookmen.In Roman culture,the lettered writers often disdained the lower illiterate populace,but the writers were also the bottom layer of Roman society and discriminated by Romans.On the other hand,the noble and the rich of Rome who possessed books but did not read them were not the real intellectuals,which was a strange turn in Roman culture. |
