| 摘 要： | 定位是学校对自身在社会及教育系统中所处位置的选择与确定，关系到学校的发展方向和办学特色，是学校持续发展的保证。民办高校的优势是培养应用型、职业技术技能型人才。民办本科高校应定位为教学应用型本科；民办专科高校应定位为职业技术型专科或教学应用型专科。民办高校只有准确定位才能办出特色。民办高校要办出特色必须具备五个主要条件；还需要政府的政策引导和扶持。

| Abstract: | Orientation is the location lain in the society and higher education system chosen and determined by the school itself, which has a bearing on the developing direction and school-running feature of a school, as well as the guarantee for the school's last development. The advantages of civilian-run universities and colleges are to train applicable type and vocational type people of ability. Civilian-run undergraduate universities and colleges should be orientated as applicable type ones;and civilian-run cluster colleges should be orientated as applicable type or vocational technical type ones. Only the civilian-run universities correctly orientate themselves can they get their own features Doing so, they must have five conditions; still, they should have the government's policy guide and help. |
