| 摘 要： | 纽曼的《大学的理想》形成于社会变革的背景下,纽曼认为大学的概念——传播知识的地方;大学目的——超自然宗教的、理智训练的、世俗的目的;大学教育——教学和科研分离;大学学习——大学师生互相合作讨论等,这些思想对当前我国高等教育的改革和发展具有重要的启示。
