| 摘 要： | 郭嵩焘在出使期间，与日本驻英公使上野景范及日本留学考察人员进行了广泛的交流，并积极探求日本国内动态。郭嵩焘看到了蒸蒸日上的日本形象：日本的人才观念远在中国之上，积极学习西方各种制度，并寻求融入西方；面对日本咄咄逼人的发展势头和侵华阴谋，郭嵩焘十分警惕并提出应对策略。他努力唤醒国人，然不被理解，孤寂终生。他的日本观虽被时代淹没，但今天去研究，仍有着积极的历史意义和时代意义。

| Abstract: | During his diplomatic mission to England & France,Guo Song-tao had wide-ranging conversations with Japanese Envoy Ue no kei han and the personnel who studied and observed there.During this period he zealously pried for the domestic information about Japan.Thus Guo had seen a flourishing landscape of Japan : the concept of dealing with the talents was superior to Chinese;positively imitated the Western System & Institutions and yearningly merged into the Western World.With the alarming tendency and aggressive conspiracy against China, Guo heightened his vigilance and took appropriate measures.He made great efforts to awake Chinese,but he was not understood by the contemporaries.So he had been suffering from loneliness till his death.Guo's viewpoint of Japan was faded by times.But it still has some positive historical and epochal significance to study. |
