| 摘 要： | 大学校长的办学理念对大学的改革和发展起着至关重要的作用。哈珀作为芝加哥大学的首任校长，其办学理念对芝加哥大学的定位和发展有着深远的影响。在哈珀执校的十五年间，芝加哥大学迅速跻身于世界一流大学的行列。追溯哈珀校长的成功经验对我国大学校长办学理念的构建具有一定的启示作用。

An Analysis of Educational Philosophy of William Rainey Harper of Chicago University |

| Abstract: | The president＇s idea about running a university plays an important role in the reform and development of a university .Harper is the first president of Chicago University, whose idea has a deep influence on the orientation and development of Chicago University. Under the leadership of Harper, Chicago University has become the top one in the world during the fifteen years. Harper＇s successful experience will be beneficial to the presidents in our country about how to build up the idea of running a university. |
