| Abstract: | This paper sets forth different applied linguistic theories about avoidance phenomenon in the second language learning, analyzes the negative effects of avoidance phenomenon mainly lie in vocabulary, sentence structure and pragmatics, and points out Chinese foreign language learners have applied avoidance phenomenon as an important learning strategy, which has negative effects on the improvement of learning efficiency. |
