| 摘 要： | 在小说翻译的过程中,深层意义的分析有重要意义,它有助于译文读者理解原作的社会文化背景、人物刻画、情节发展和主题等。译者应该通过对原作语言结构的深层意义的解读和阐释,使译作达到与原作的功能性等值。以狄更斯的小说《远大前程》为例,从文化意义、社会意义和文体意义3个方面对语言的深层意义进行分析,探讨如何选择最合适的翻译策略来保留原作的深层意义。

| Abstract: | The analysis and reproduction of deep meaning plays an important role in fictional translation. It helps the target language readers to understand the social and cultural background, characterization, plot and theme. Therefore, the translator should decode the deep meaning by identifying the different levels of the language structures so as to achieve functional equivalence in fictional translation. In the thesis the author analyzes deep meaning from the following aspects: cultural meaning, social meaning and stylistic meaning, and, with Dickens's Great Expectation as an example, explores how to choose the most proper translation method to fully reproduce it. |
