形成性评价在大学英语课堂的运用

摘    要:大学英语教师在教学过程中要想提高教学效果,使学生取得进步,除了要具备一定的教学能力之外,还应具备对学生科学的评价能力。当前大学英语教师对学生的评价形式主要是终结性评价,即以考试成绩作为评判标准。但是,多年的教学实践表明,终结性评价存在很多弊端,如影响学生学习英语的积极性、教师教学的热情不高以及课堂教学的有效性较低。在新的形势下,有必要提倡一种新的评价学生的方式——形成性评价,以进一步推动我国大学英语的教学改革。

Abstract:College English teachers should have enough teaching abilities to teach efficiently.Besides that,they should know how to evaluate their students scientifically.Currently,summative assessment is the main way applied in our country's college English teaching,which focuses on the results of examinations.But many years of teaching practice indicate that summative assessment brings a lot of disadvantages to class teaching,such as reducing students' motivation to learn,weakening teachers' hospitability to teach,etc.Therefore,under new circumstances,the author of the paper puts forward a new way,the formative assessment,to evaluate students,aiming to promote the reform of the country's college English teaching.
