| 摘 要： | 双关语是最难翻译的修辞现象之一，英语双关语的翻译策略通常有以下几种。对等翻译法将双关语译为相同的双关语，主要适用于建立在人类共同认知基础上的双关语和部分结构双关语；变通对等法是通过创造双关语译为不同的双关语，主要适用于思想主题意义不大严肃的文字游戏类双关语。体现不同文化特色和语言特点的双关语有时也可以通过语音、语义或形式手段译为类双关语，还可以通过释义、加注等方法进行补偿。双关语的翻译还包括谐音法、省略法、移植法等。

| Abstract: | The pun is considered most challenging in the field of translation. The English pun is often rendered into Chinese. in the following ways. The best choice is to find a pun equivalent in Chinese and this applies to those puns that bear similarities in the common human cognitive process and to some of those that rest upon structural ambiguity. The pun that aims merely at laughter is often replaced associated meaning. The third way is to create a quasi - pun by another pun on a word with a different but through the exploitation of the phonic, semantic, or graphic features. For those puns that demonstrate the particular cultural or linguistic features, compensation is often introduced in translation by providing necessary notes, explanation, or background information. Such ways as omission, transplantation and homophonic creation are also adopted in the translation of puns. |
