| 摘 要： | 服务业的发展已经成为现代经济的一个重要标志，也是衡量一个城市发展水平的重要指标。随着信息技术的发展和社会分工的专业化，服务业的两个组成部分——传统服务业和现代服务业的地位和作用也在发生着转变。本文通过对中小城市服务业发展现状以及对传统服务业和现代服务业的外部环境、内在机制和产业效益的比较分析，阐述了中小城市服务业的发展途径。
