| Abstract: | The western philosophy has deeply influenced the form of English glossary so it is one of the focus subjects for the linguists. This paper will open up a new prospect for the research of English glossary by analyzing the influence of western philosophy on some affixes, the meaning of some words and the origin of some new words and so on. |
