| Abstract: | The paper aims to clarify a misunderstanding towards Interpretation, a skill--based course for English majors, that it is more or less the same as Translation. Based on the analysis of interpreting with respect to the quality evaluation criteria, process and characteristics, the paper discusses the unique- ness of the course in its nature, and suggests the course be guided by the classroom principle of massive practice, supplemented by diversified teaching contents, and employs a flexible teaching methodology. |
